bored rainy
Thursday, June 21, 2007
The MSN Messenger windows kept popping out. Ivan kept nudging me and I did so until the blogger page loads, and I typed "oke2". And the nudging stopped.
The Philips speakers attached to the computer let out the song "Everlasting Love", Jamie Cullum's silky voice flowing through. Outside, the sky was grey and the clouds thick. I had not seen this darkness for a long time. Not at this time anyway. Usually, my apartment would be hot from the sun's rays beating down on my marble floors. But today was different. The song changed to "Victoria", by John Mayer. This song had always had an effect on my heartstrings. Such a sad, painful song.
My feet had dried up from the little splash games I played with my mother on the balcony. I was standing on the wooden bench, and she playfully splashed it with water. It was interesting, really.
The guitar strums were like a lullaby in my ears. What a song this is.
My mother, her hair pinned up, was wearing a plain dark blue t-shirt and a pair of shorts from Bali. She was peeling the skin of a bunch of vegetable with the TV switched to travel and living, showing a bathroom with colourful mosaic tiles.
How bored I am. Slouching on my pink seat, wearing my yellow Roxy surfer pants and white Polo striped pink and green. This time, Mariah Carey's breathtaking voice was singing "We Belong Together", a song I always thought was a masterpiece.
My gaze, from the bright computer screeen, to the TV, to my mother, to the rain and back again. I guess I really am without things to do today. And when that happens, I usually have a longing for shopping. But not today. Not now. This is just nice. The smell of the rain, the landscape on TV, my mother preparing the vegetable which I love, the speaker playing fine tunes. And I just gaze at the monitor, my fingers doing the work.
ow
ouch.
my diaphragm hurts like shit.
for some unknown reason.
u know, the feeling u get when u wanna puke?
ow.ow.ow.
this is getting me worried, dude.
ugh.
just please god don't make me sick cus i am only TWO days away from my vacation!!!
gotta be MEAN to make me sick!!!
But anyways,
looking forward to the nail parlour tomorrow.
I CANNOT BE SICKI CANNOT BE SICKI CANNOT BESICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blog

Blog, I just want to mention how proud I am of you. After re-reading you, I realised the wonders of my life, my emotions, are all printed on a page. Like a diary. Just reading them takes me back time, and to places, let it be in a dream, or reality. My words may not have been good enough to convey what's really deep down. But I always remember the tug of emotions. That is why, you are so meaningful to me.
Lessons I have learnt, all here listed down. When I forget, I can just refer back, and know that I am smarter than what I think. That even as a child, I can see, and appreciate things that maybe even adults don't notice, in their hectic life. Let it be the sky, the sun or the rain. And if I am immature, I can tell now, as I am older.
These posts would be like fragments of my memory. Thank you for taking care of me all this time.
MULTI SHUD GO BANKRUPT
Sunday, June 10, 2007
To all people in Indonesia, I declare that Multi should be closed down.
- the service is BAD, BAD, BAD!!! people there r rude, unpleasant, and it seems like they are only there because they want the money and don't make any efforts for customer service! they are all w.h.o.r.e.s with thick make-up
- the employess there tell all lies! When my dad told employee A that he bought PS2 at Multi Mangga Dua last time and it was spoiled, she said confidently "No! Sir we don't have any Multi store in Mangga Dua! That must have been fake. Multi is only in Puri." Then my mom told employee B the same thing. And employee B said "Ooohhh...I see" so emloyee B knew there was Multi in Mangga Dua! Employee A just lied!!!
- More lies: Employee C told us that none of the customers ever complained before. We did not believe it. After a few minutes, we heard a man complaining to employee A about late arrival of the goods.
- All my life, the many times I have bought games in Multi, they are all spoiled. If not from the front, it's the middle. Like when I tried out a game in Multi, it was fine. But after halfway of the game, it stopped working. And oh the hundred million times that happened.
- My bro bought me a figurine for 500thou in Multi. We saw the same thing for 300 in another store.
- When I was going to buy a DS in Multi, they said there was no warranty. Shocking. They must have known that the stuff the sell are all crap. Cuz' I tested out the DS, and when it booted, it instantly went to the main menu. And at another place when I tested it, they asked for our name, birthday, date, time first before the main menu. What does that mean? The stuff in Multi are second-hand!!!
- More proof to that: When I tested out Nitendogs, there was already a dog in it.
- I bought a 20 in 1 game at first and when I was trying it out elsewhere... wait... I can't save the games?!??!?
- None of the employees said that. When I complained they said "Well, nothing can be done. We thought you already tried it out just now so we didn't let you know." HELLO?!?!?! Who would test a game until the save point?!?! We mostly just test out the front!!!
- They said I could not return the game. According to general knowledge, items bought can be returned within 24 hours of purchase. But I guess it did not apply in Multi. So I just bought 500thou rupiah worth of? crap.
- Fortunately I had my family on my back and we were angry and threatened to talk to the manager. So we were allowed to trade the game with 500thou worth of something else.
- When I tested out every single game to their save point, I realised that 7 out of 10 games I tested had errors in them.Wow. Did the employees realise that they have a shelf full of trash by then? Well if they did, they didn't really care because instead of putting the spoiled ones away, they put it back into the shelf for someone else innocent to buy.
But enough. I'm sick of talking about Multi anymore. Just... a lot of people by now knows how much that place sux. Sooner or later, there will be no customers left. The only reason why it's so crowded right now is because it's the only shop in Puri Mall that sells video games. If someone is to open a new store, much better in quality and service, I bet Multi would be gone in no time.
Note: I still want to slap that flat-chested, she-male Employee A.
wish

Some days like today
I wish that wings could sprout out my back
and I could just fly away
Away from reality,
away from everything I despise
Just like in my dream
Past the lush green hill
and the glimmering blue lake
with the strong wind as my carriage.
But I reach home every day
collapse onto my bed
And yet another tearful moment
And another wish to be taken away.
DAMN U

One Litre of Tears
Sunday, June 3, 2007

After watching "One Litre Of Tears" I realised how truly lucky I am.
My family has no problems with money,
I have so much to recieve every day,
I have friends who care about me,
And I have such a happy family.
Shouldn't I be more apreciative about what I have?
I should make my parents proud,
I should cause no trouble for them.
I should be smiling every day.
There are a lot of things I have not learned in life.
I realised I am still immature.
What do I really know about the world?
I was always pampered since birth.
And now it scares me thinking about the future.
I had always had so much plans.
So much ambition.
I have dreamt of the money, luxury, and a great job later on.
I could care less whether or not I liked doing what I was going to do
As long as I earn loads.
I realise now it doesn't really matter.
How can money compare to happiness?
What does it matter as long as I have enough to keep me alive?
As long as I can live,
And be happy.
As long as my family is healthy,
As long as we stick together.
Because that is the most important thing in life.
When the doctor asked to check my brains last time when I fell down,
I was so so scared.
And instantly cried.
Fortunately, nothing was wrong with it.
Aside from hypotension,
I was fine, wasn't I?
Everything that has happened in my life
Means something for me,
Even the worst moments.
It had taught me what I know today
Even though it is simply a movie.
Thank you Aya for being such an inspiration...
Winter Coats
Saturday, June 2, 2007
Went to Mangga Dua today, and saw a winter jacket like Xiao Yi's!!! Below is a picture of it...

Well I did see one which looked
exactly the same! I was really happy. The sizes are
XS and
S... They fit just right! But that would not do since I have to wear more clothing inside... So in the end, we left the shop, looking for more such coats. Ahh... It looked so good too!!!
In one shop, the man said that such coats are not in style anymore. It's already old... But... But! It just looks so good! He said the ones that are in style now are these:

And yes I saw heck a lot of them in Mangga Dua... Maybe I should get those instead? =/ Opinions, anyone? On the tag board please.
But whatever style, what's important is the colour !! It has to be white/light brown! I already have a loonggg loonngggg black winter coat with grey fur... It is too long for me, and since I just bought brown boots, I would like to show them off ^^.
Oh and my mom said something today. She said "You guys should care for your feet more! Your feet works the hardest, carries the heaviest load than any other body part, yet gets the least care. On the other hand, your face which never does anyting always gets most care!" ... I never thought about it that way, really! How amusing...
