Yesterday

Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,I'm not half the girl I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why he
Had to go I don't know, he wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why he
Had to go I don't know, he wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

I'm listening to jazz at the moment, mostly Lisa Ono. Her cover of Yesterday (The Beatles) and La Vie En Rose (Edith Piaf) cover are really nice. Wasn't much of a jazz person, but just now, I felt the joy of jazz music.

It was raining, and the sky was pretty much solid black. From my window I could see the city lights, and my room was dark except for the table lamp, which illuminated my room in warm orange. I just sprayed my room with the Pomegranate room spray, so it was fragrant and all. And this is rare, but I wore my pastel knit cardigan. Also the jazz was amazing. I couldn't resist taking a glass of sparkling rosé.

Since a few months ago, I have been influenced by my mom's love for luxury items. What girl doesn't like the sight of sparkling diamonds/crystals? But I think simple moments like this is as beautiful as any diamond. Well a diamond can stimulate the sense of sight and touch, but I had hearing, sight, smell and touch. How awesome is that. A diamond comes with a price but a moment is priceless. But on the other hand, a diamond is timeless, but a moment passes by so quickly :(

I don't know why it just suddenly struck me, but for the past few days I really wanted to be rich, I wanted to be able to buy all the luxury items I loved. I love beautiful things so much. But as I write this I realise that I don't need all of those. I am satisfied with what I have, and there is no need to be greedy. Well okay, complete honesty, I still want them. But the word is: moderation. Having too much won't make it special anymore.

And yes, I am aware that I haven't blogged in a long long time. Heehee. Well I have been busy, I barely had a day to rest for a whole week, but now it's much better. I just need to finish up the remaining 20% of 4 projects and complete the e-folio. I don't have class next week so you can imagine me pigging indoors and being a total hermit.

Oh look, I just ran out of wine...

The alcohol is in my system, I am subtly drunk.

Hi guys.

I'm lying on my bed as I type this. I just came home a while ago and you know, Wednesday is when we have the 2 major classes. I'm so brain-fried I can't even get myself to read manga. I just want to lie here on my bed in complete silence. Waiting for my dad's phone call at the moment... going to discuss next semester elective with him. Discussions with him are always productive, tough decisions become easier. I'm considering web design, advertising, or packaging. It so happens that packaging and advertising are both 'the better careers', I guess I'm lucky since I have genuine interest in them.

But packaging....... every time I remind myself the hell I went through the previous project, I feel like I can just re-die.

Anyway, I've got a big heap of new project for corporate identity and I got Billabong. I have no idea what to do, the brief is so abstract. My head is pulsing, I need to stop writing. Instant noodles for tonight.

One month

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

I have changed.

Physically, I have lost my fringe, I look like I've got a nose job in that picture (but I haven't) and to my greatest surprise, I seem as though I've lost my baby face! Thanks to my hair, I am no longer bread face. *dances* :D

One month may seem like such a short time but looking back on it, many things have happened. I cosplayed, acted in a short movie, met new people, made plans for the future, embarrassed myself in public, bought my first wig, understood more about the fragility of human emotions, experimented with and challenged my capabilities, learnt new things, ate instant noodles for days in a row, put on fake eyelashes by myself (which surprisingly wasn't as hard as I thought), experienced a whole lot of things - both positive and negative. Everything has taught me to be a better person.

They say you can't feel the calm when there's been no storm. And that might be true, I may not be able to fully appreciate what I have right now. I'm guilty of taking too many things for granted. So foolish as it may sound, I rather look forward to the storm. I know I will regret ever saying this, but I seem to have this thirst to learn (not about things on the book). The things I write in this blog are things that fascinate me - the things that I learn upon growing up. I just want to experience as many things in life as possible. Right now that is a clear reason I can see for being alive - to get as much of it as possible.

So thanks for giving me the opportunity to dye my hair more than 7 times (i think), have different coloured eyes, try on emo/scene style (lol faker much), harajuku decora style, be a lolita maid walking down the streets, act in a video, have a pink wig, cosplay, have a multicultural group of great friends, perform on stage multiple times, be a cheerleader even though I can't dance, study in Melbourne, live in a four seasons country, write my first resume, scout for part-time jobs and got instantly rejected because I wasn't Korean, meet the blue-shirt underwearless man on the bike, spent the whole night clubbing and reach home at 7am, randomly yell from my apartment balcony just because the weather was so good, drink a bottle of wine on the rooftop listening to music, snuggle in bed while it rains outside, having to run from the train station to home without an umbrella and it was hailing like mad, having to stand for one + hour in the cold rain with our boots soaked in mud waiting for the bus from tulip farm on my birthday (also having my Dad panicking and almost calling the Victorian police to send a search team for me), my babies Gucci and Polo, my precious friends, and of course my family which I am forever grateful for.

So much more to list... Hahahaha. Anyway those are really some of the great memories. I just feel so alive!

Have you got anything you really want to do but never got to it? When's the last time you told someone precious you love them (look I ain't no hypocrite, I just did)? You shouldn't let anything stop you... Seize the moment, go for it. You're not just a certain age once, every second is only there once in your lifetime. It never repeats itself. So experience as much as you can :)
