This is the meal I cooked today. I've been and will be super busy until the 11th December, so in the middle of my reading I very quickly put together a meal for myself. On the left is egg with fresh tomato, and on the right, xiang chang fried rice. Xiang Chang is an asian sweet pork sausage. I love it very much. So I thought this would be a good meal. Unfortunately, there is no rice cooker in my flat so I had to cook rice using a pot and it is my second time doing that now. The rice burnt.... everyone went to the kitchen to check what that smell is!! But I still used the rice and cooked fried rice. Now I'm eating a meal that smells like parched steel. It's really horrible and toxic. I think I will throw it away if I don't finish it tonight. Means I have to cook again tomorrow :(
This makes me think of my future household. I love cooking and making delicious and well-presented meals. But if I am too busy with work, then I might sometimes end up making something like this again. I don't want my family to eat this toxic, cancer food!!! Yeck....
