Hi readers, the weather in Melbourne has been so depressing lately.
I like rain when I am indoors or when I am in Jakarta (for some reason) but not in Melbourne.
Walking home in the wind and rain is just no fun...
And recently I started listening to this absolutely beautiful song... September In the Rain
Of course I like Sarah Vaughan's version... she is my favourite Jazz musician!
Please do listen to it... it's so sweet and clear, perfect!
Oh and... I've had pain on my left arm for several days. This morning I woke up and it still wasn't better at all! Even though I have slept 3x. One would think 'injuries get better after some sleep'. So I started to get worried and since I had afternoon class today (even though in the end I didn't manage to make it to class......) I decided to go to the hospital for a check-up.
First I went to a clinic for a General Practitioner. He then told me I might have a tendon rapture on my left arm (my father has that on his left wrist!!!) and he advised I go to a radiologist for Ultrasound scan as soon as possible. I went to this place called Imaging that's situated within a sports stadium... Apparently AFL players go there to fix up sports injuries. So most were male in that area. Felt weird to be a non-sporty girl there.
So then I got my ultrasound results for my left arm...
The doctor told me that my tendon is alright and no bones are fractured. But he said the Bursa on the joint of my left arm is inflamed.... And he showed me the 'normal' state of a Bursa on my right arm... and the size of the inflamed Bursa is like... 7x the size of a normal one!!! It was quite scary. I'm glad I went to get a check-up today or I would have let this thing reside inside me until next week...
I was told to get some kind of injection and then follow-up with physiotherapy. But it all sounded so pricey! So I told the doctor I would consider it for a while. Then I went to eat vietnamese with Listy (yes, she accompanied me the entire day... from 9am to 5.30pm) for lunch. When my Dad called me and I told him the situation. He said I should just take the injection today. And since I was still in the area, I went back to the stadium.... Let me just say public transportation in Melbourne is not quite simple and we happened to have the worst of luck today with it. So from 9-5.30, we walked 70% of the way.
Can't complain though, because I notice that my facial skin is all bright and vibrant thanks to the exercise.
Oh, the exact name of my injury is Shoulder Bursitis.
So yes... I pretty much don't use my left arm for anything right now... I try my best not to move it and not to carry anything although that's not possible. I always have heavy things to lug along. Often I wish there is someone to help me carry my things. A butler? I'm not that rich to hire one. Hahahhahaa. You can't survive on your own if you're not strong! T.T
Wish me fast recovery....!
A very very good Japanese movie I recently watched thanks to Juen... If you are a J-fan, WATCH THIS!!!!
