image source: http://alumniroundup.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07I have to confess something - I have an obsession for beauty products. No I didn't count, but it must total up to approximately 40. And they're all scattered all over my room. I really should start throwing old ones out but I'm the kind of person who finds it real hard to throw anything (that's why my room is so full of rubbish).
There are way too many beauty products in this world and few that work. We consumers end up buying and buying then wasting all that money on products that make you look better without make-up.
Luckily, there are testers for those products. Oh yes I know how bacteria-infested those are, but what's better, risking your skin for one day or wasting a whole lot of cash, and risking your skin/appearance?
On another note, testing concealers and foundations on the back of your hands does not work (the skin colour is not even the same with the face). Foundations should be tested on your jawline, while concealers must be tested under the eyes (if you're planning on undereye coverage). Lipsticks should be tested on the tip of your fingers. The only product that should be tested on the back of your hand is probably eye shadow. But correct me if I'm wrong.
Getting good make-up outcome also depends not only on the product itself but also the way you apply it and the little layers and details that go into creating that final piece. Hell, it's more complicated that it seems.
But why do we females bother with so much products anyway? What happened to all-natural skin? Well, our natural skin includes blemishes, uneven skin tone, oiliness/dryness, wrinkles, and for me, my biggest enemy - dark under-eye circles and eyebags.
To be honest, if I didn't have those last two, I wouldn't even have that many make-up. They are a pain... I'd surgically remove them. No, it doesn't matter how much I sleep, they stick to me. :(
I'd go on for another hour complaining about my eyebags but let's not go there. Good day, folks. Don't be like me and please throw out your old make-up that's been there for a year or over.
