Japanese Home Cooking

I am (hopefully) going to live in Japan next year!!!
I'm so excited! But it will be a busy and challenging life.
Will work hard... and try to make it. Will learn a lot.
I am sure I will become a very different person after that (under the guidance of my strict grand-aunt!).
Please support me in your minds!!!
Today I discovered that my childhood best friend's elder sister got engaged!
I was very very happy for them! This is the first time a friend of mine is getting engaged/married.
It feels shocking!
Have a relaxing Sunday everyone~

a farewell

What am I saying farewell to? Actually it's to my short hair...!
It's starting to grow longer very quickly and I plan to leave it to grow.
But I'm sure one day I will cut it short again. Short hair is fun in its own way! ~
These shots are taken in Japanese Idol photobook style! hahhhaa

More Sweet Japanese Necklaces
Tuesday, February 14, 2012
I was looking at hairstyles on http://www.beauty-box.jp/
It's a very good website for Japanese hair catalogues.
And my eyes caught sight of the sweet necklaces the models were wearing! Check them out
wha... I just realised it's the same girl! o_o
It seems she has a good eye for necklaces ^_^
Last night I did a lot of research into Japanese brands that have stores in Taiwan. Apparently there are quite a lot! I'm so excited to go to Taiwan now! Can't wait to be reunited with Lowry's Farm, Samantha Thavasa, Samantha Petit Choice, Samantha Vega, Lis Liza, Afternoon Tea!
By the way, these hair models are all so pretty...!

Samantha Thavasa Japanese Accessories
Monday, February 13, 2012
Ever since I went to Japan last November, I have been so into accessories~
I used to wear them rarely, but my one-month trip to Japan has stocked me up with a whole new collection of cute earrings! I cannot find those kind of designs in Jakarta. I am going to Taiwan this March and hopefully I can find similar things there.
The #1 most influential brand that really radiated a modern Japanese girl/woman vibe, is Samantha Thavasa. Every time I walked past their shops I was always drawn to the tiny shimmering accessories and feminine wallets and bags.
I immediately fell in love! But the items are so painfully expensive. Their cheaper necklaces prices averagely US$600. Their promos are all modelled by famous female idols of the time, so all the Japanese girls are crazy about Samantha Thavasa!
Now I wish I could afford it without feeling like I spent a lot of money >_>
I think tiny accessories are so cute! And they make a girl look feminine without being too over-the-top with humongous bling-blings.
These aren't Samantha Thavasa necklaces but I love them so much! I really want to get myself something like this some day >.<

New Blog Layout~
Friday, August 6, 2010

the old
Yes it's that time of the year (?) again, time for a change! My skin was starting to itch seeing the low resolution Mac photobooth photo on the layout header. I've always used codes from existing layouts and to be honest I haven't change the codes for the past few designs, only slightly. Since I am a design student, and I learned a bit of Dreamweaver last year, I thought hey, it's time to make my own layout.
I have forgotten so much, but I somehow made everything work in Dreamweaver anyway. Web design is lots of fun! It's very exciting for the nerd in me.
In these photos I wore two layers, that's the silk kimono slip inside, and my yukata outside. I wish I had a proper kimono but I don't :<>
Thank you so much Listy for helping me take the photographs :D
Some candid shots:

So yes those are the photos. In total there were 459 photos, which I cut down to 99. And it just so happened that the shot I used for the header was the 459th photo!
And you may have noticed that I designed a logo for this blog. It was quite a last-minute decision really, and I just wanted to scratch something up in a few minutes so I did! I just played around with the words JUICE22 and came up with that final solution. I thought the overlapping 2's created a bit of the organic feel that is evident in the idea of 'juice'. So yeah, for something designed in around 15 minutes, I say it's not too shabby.
The previous layout title was (rose) and this time it's collection of memories, which is the English translation of those Japanese words you see. Why did I use Japanese even though I am 1.not Japanese 2.don't speak much of the language? Because I love the typography. Nuff said. And anyway it suits the blog theme.
So yeah I guess that's about it! It's a bit simple and slightly more texture here and there would look better, but I shall let it be for now. Is the font for the blog post text too big though? Hmm...
