Photobox Memory
Thursday, December 11, 2008
I went to Pacific Place again just now for my 2-hours break. There is this arcade called... Don't remember what it's called, but it's near Spagetthi House. I LOVE THE PHOTOBOX THERE!!! The games are really fun too. Maybe I'll blog about it when I go there again next time. For now, I'd like to focus on the topic of photobox pictures.
See, I was going through my whole collection of photobox pictures... which is a LOT by the way. I found soooo many photos I've totally forgotten about. It's awesome. Like the pictures I took with:
- My Korean tour friends. I had long black hair then. I remember it was Marvin's 18th birthday. Davina, Thirza and I were frantically searching for a last-minute birthday present for him.
- Bella, Ratna, Daryl, Hendhy, Kenny. Ah yes I remember this, Hendhy took off my red hat and I was annoyed coz I was having shitty hair due to DDR sweat and Daryl took it back for me.
- Irene, Mike, Michelle, Daryl. Omg I totally forgot ahha. Yeah we were eating in this Japanese restaurant I can't remember where after Mr. Shafiq's tuition, and then Michelle joined us. Then we went to have fun in Timezone. Aaah Mr. Shaf's tuition... I remember the hectic IGCSE + Final Exams times...
- Me and Ratna at PIM. Omg I looked so scene there lol. I would try that look again but my hair is not long and black anymore.
- Me and Ratna. This one very funny picture where we were looking down and we wrote out the word 'porn' in mucus green colour lol. And the other pose we had was when we looked really grossly ugly and I put monstrous shimmer into our eyeballs making us both look like freaks so much that Ratna didn't want the photos.
- Me, Ratna and Helena. Helena, I haven't seen her in years o_o
- Me, Ratna, Angelina. Omg. I was wearing that shirt... which is red but with long white sleeves. I wonder where it is now... And Ratna is wearing a pink sleeveless and a headband... Angelina in I don't know what, couldn't see.
- Chu, Cel, Sapi, and I. I was in no mood to take photos so I just looked really, really horrible. Haha ok I don't want to be reminded of that horrible photo pls.
Okay so many more photos, but those are ones that appeal to me the most because I have forgotten about them after all this time. Hmm I wonder how Mike and Mr. Shaf are doing. Don't really have any contact with them.
The first time I ever took a photobox picture was when I was at Ratna's and we went to the Indomart/Ranch Market close to her home. We went to Gramedia to buy some materials for whatever project we were doing, then we passed by a photobox machine. She told me to take pictures. I was very reluctant. She said it's pretty cheap so why not. So I agreed.
It being our first time, we were super duper stiff. We just stood there unmoving. I frowned. I was still in my glasses and fringeless lol. Imagine how ugly that looked. Ratna at least smiled a little.
Anyway, that's it for history. I'm pretty sad right now coz I can't find the pictures I took with my family in TAIWAN's photobox!!! Argh!!! Damnit. I can't find the damn thing T_T Where is it... Please show yourself...

Time for another recommendation! This time I am recommending the BEST PASTA EVER. For lunch just now, we went to Pacific Place, Jalan Sudirman. The restaurant we went to was called Pancious. It specialises in pancakes (although I mentioned in my older post how I'm never going to eat pancakes again).
For the main course, I ordered this...dish... Apologies but I can't remember the name. But I'm positive it's called Beef something something.
You know when you eat pasta and sometimes it's so creamy you get sick of eating it halfway? Not this dish. Instead of all that fatty cream, there was a good dash of fragrant olive oil, along with diced garlic, sauteed mushrooms and beef. And that was the BEST pasta dish I ever had!
When it came to the table, it looked pretty ordinary so I didn't bother taking a picture of it. But once I had a bite... I just couldn't stop eating. Therefore I completely forgot about my camera. It was
SO GOOD.
You guys just have to order it!!!
Following the main course, I had dessert. Again, I forgot the name of the dish, but it had something to do with pancake on stick fruit whatever whatever. It's not hard to find in the menu.
The dish was so cute, that this time, I didn't hesitate to take a snap of it.

Wow! Doesn't that look so yummy?? The pancake breakfast I made pales in comparison!
But this dish is mostly for the eyes. It's not THAT good. But you can order it though since it looks so adorable and well I just doubt you can resist it.
So remember! During your visit to Pacific Place, eat the pizza in Tiamo and the pasta in Pancious! Love your food~

Ohmygod! I got an SMS today during my Uniprep class that the IGCSE Results are out!!! So after Uniprep, I immediately went to Bina Bangsa School to get my results.
In the car ride there, I was so nervous. And the traffic was super heavy so I had a lot of time to think to myself about how I should react when I see bad grades, which I expected. Especially English. And bio.
When I reached school, I went to the admin, and they told me to find Ms Yenny. I asked Ms Yenny, and she told me my results are with Mr Puran. I searched for Mr Puran, and it turns out...it turns out he already left for home. Great.
Fortunate for me, Ms Yanti was there. And she had a list of students' results for IGCSE, but only the sciences. I got all A's!!! Either A or A*, I can't remember by now.
Then I met Ms Vanda in the teacher's room. She seemed so hyped up seeing me, it was surprising. I always tought she hated us for taking the IGCSE and blablablabla. But she was...practically dancing. And I asked her how much I got and you know what??? I got a B!!! Not an A, but still! She said that the only person who got an A was Chu (congrats, it seemed they liked your compo). In my class, Janet, Susan and I got B.
Ms Vanda said that Ms Lee told her that if she had properly trained us for the English IGCSE, we might have received A's too.
So I started teasing Ms Vanda with "I told you so"s and mocked her about how I had proven her dead wrong! Remember how Ms Vanda discouraged the whole class about us going to fail our English IGCSE? Well, we got B's, when she expected U's or F's and stuff. HA! When I told her that, she only did this little dance like "oh i don't know lah" and didn't respond. Lol. xD
Ms Vanda is so different attitude-wise to graduates. She was so friendly and crazy. I actually hit her arm once. And she wouldn't stop giving me nigga/gangsta gestures with big bulging eyes. Damn she was good at that!
And then Ms Lanny, my fav teacher in BBS, rushed into the teacher's room. Despite my hair, she immediately recognised me, and she was smiling ear to ear with a red face as if she has been running. And she told me about how my grades were great and stuff. I suddenly felt extremely happy to see her, and out came the tears of joy (I do this a lot).
Ms Lanny and Ms Vanda started going "Why is she crying? blablabla" but I ignored them and started asking some more questions about IGCSE stuff. Embarrassing okay -.-
Then I met up with my classmates, chatted a while, and I started looking for Janet, who was at that time in the Art room. I came up behind her, and surprised her. She was more surprised when she saw my hair, cos I didn't tell her I dyed it. lol
Awww I missed that tall bundle of Janet! She pinned up her fringe and had two pigtails; I wanted to pull her cheeks like mad.
After bugging her in the Art room and making her create an artwork in record time, we went to the basketball court and sat on the stairs to have a little chat. We gossiped and filled each other with updates. It was niiice. And we took some pictures but I won't show them here except for one. Mwahaha.

Lah. We look so happy here. Photo credits to Sammy.
So IN CONCLUSION~, today is a great day thanks to my IGCSE results. I'm happy as a child~ But I've been in pain too for the whole day. Don't know why, but every joint has been cracking. My back and shoulders ache like hell no matter how much I self-massage it! Urgh...
I think I'm aging faster than anyone out there.

Tiamo

(above: a new random logo for recommendations =p)
There is a restaurant called Tiamo at Pacific Place (Jalan Sudirman), beside the HotShot resto. Italian food. And I recommend it for you guys!
First of all, it serves absolutely the BEST pizza ever. It has thin crispy crust and the cheese... oh god the cheese. Very yummy. You must try it. I've tried three types so far: Beef Pizza, Tiamo Pizza, and one more which I have forgotten the name T_T. The one which I forgot is the best one, beef places second. Tiamo Pizza is not that great, but good nevertheless.
Though it looks simple, the taste is... wow! Beef pizza:
As for pasta, I recommend Spaghetti Tiamo. It is very very good. I also ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, but it's not that great. The one with Salmon and Zucchini is great though, but my family prefers carbonara to salmon for some reason.
Carbonara:

Though I was full, I still wanted to try out the Lemon Cake for dessert.
I was expecting something spongy, refreshing, light. And I got this:
I'm not saying it wasn't good...
Well, I ate it and dropped my spoon. And chewed reaaly...reaallly slowly. My mom stayed quiet. My brother evoked weird, painful expressions. My dad refused to try, but we forced him anyway.
Was it bad? Well, it wasn't... Uh... The first bite I thought it was awful. But for some reason I wanted to eat more and more. Probably 'cause it has such a unique taste to it.
Want to try? Go to Tiamo! >w<

Our Second 2-hour Break
Monday, June 30, 2008
Today we Design students had our second 2-hour lunch break.
Armed and ready, we set off to Pacific Place - my new place to hangout. Scratch TA.
After 20 minutes of exploring two floors of restaurants, we decided (finally) on
Spaghetti House. Thing is,
Spaghetti House was having the Buy Two Pay For One system!!! Awesome. My lunch
costed around
Rp 27,000. Provided the place was comfortable, clean, and the serving was a lot, I'd say it's a pretty good price.
My new feature:
Notice the very romantic hand-gripping and their very cute expressions. Lol.
We are the three and only girls of Design stream 2008:
I forgot to mention this, but there are now 3 new additions to our Arts + Design stream. Male. Their names are ADITYA (lol) and Albert. =D Two A's. Today, ex-BBS friend Charles came along to join the Arts Stream.
So Aditya & Charles = Social Arts. Albert = Design.
Martin trying to be cute:
Martin trying to be model-ish:
Out came the main dishes. Mine came out last along with Listy's =.=
Mine always comes out last for some reason.
Chicken Cordon Bleu. The result of BBS Canteen nostalgicness =D
Next stop: Toilet.
This picture is put up here for the sole purpose of granting Petrick's narsisstic wish.
So right click and save, Petrick. =_="
Weird expressions:
Be hearing from us soon =D

My 3-days Break!
Saturday, May 31, 2008
Aiight this is cool. I had my little break and I feel great! After this break, I only have the easier (some) IGCSE papers left (my Finals are done! ^^V).
So what did I do during the break? SHOP!!! I shopped like ... yeah. When your mum is with you, it makes shopping much easier, really... If you know what I mean, which I'm sure you do =D...
Thursday - spent the whole day in TA. Lugged my violin all the way from 11am to 6pm... I was planning to change the strings (since it is already so RUSTY), but when I went to gramedia, there was only a few choices. The guy told us to go MG at Pang Lima Polin (or something... that's what it sounded like).
Bought clothes and stuff. Waited for my brother for such a long time as he did his own shopping. We tried on rockstar leather jackets... I waited for him in front of the fitting room... I just SAT there (kayak gembel) and he threw the clothes over the space above the fitting room door, landed on my face. -_- We were so lame.
Oh yeah. We also fooled around the dart-throwing lottery thing. I made fun of my brother, but it turns out he got all the targets! =D So now we are 1 out of 18thousand-something other people who threw the dart right! Yay!
Friday - Awesome. We went to Pacific Place today to check out this 2-storey music store. I must say, IT IS FRIKIN COOL! Oh. I brought my violin along again... Not surprisingly, they didn't sell any violin stuff at all -_- "Coming soon", the guy said.
But that's okay though, seeing the place was worth it. Being amongst all those music instruments made me feel... Aah =D. I wanted to take pictures of the amazing flutes, trumpets, and grand pianos (they look BEAUTIFUL! all gold and shiny) but the shopkeepers were there so I didn't... sorry readers xD
But worry not! I have some cool stuff for you guys:

The drum showcase! Woww cool! They had all these shiny bling thing. Very nice showcase by the way =D

Oh if only I could play the guitar/bass. There was this Gibson guitar, looking all classy in white... I was like... O_O Miaw I want that...

My brother said the basses sold aren't so good though.
After the music store, we went to this CD store, where my bro and I tested out a few CDs (bro- bass stuff. me- piano stuff... no violin there, sold out). While we did so, my mom was all amazed at the Michael Buble performance on the large TV in the store =D
Then we had lunch at Pure... A "healthy" restaurant. Organic food, and stuff. It's kinda good though:

The flower tea! It smelt so goooood...
Oh I also saw Kidzania for the first time =p...
After all that, we left for MG in Pang Lima Polin (again, I'm not sure about that name). It had one floor for Violin, Cello, Accoustic Guitar, and another for Electric Bass, Electric Guitar... The place wasn't as fancy as the one in Pacific Place, but this store had more variety.

Oooh all the accoustics. There are a couple with vintage designs I liked.

A Silent Violin!!! I want it!!! Saw a guy in youtube use it before. But it was expensive =(
Aha! My goal finally accomplished. Bought a set of violin strings for 345thou. Josie's recommended brand, Pilastro, was around 500thou (chrome material I think) -_- omg. Maybe I will buy that when my violin playing is good. =D Right now it stills sucks so yeah.

What a tiring day! And I only had six hours of sleep too T_T Went home, slept, and when I woke up, my mom had already picked up my contact lenses from Hypermart! Yes, it is blue and green. But don't worry, I'm not going to wear each eye with different colour (people will think I am cosplaying Yuna). Green comes first ^^

Phew! That's it for now, guys! After a long pause in blogging ^_^ Finally a new post.
See yah guys~
