Food Adventure

Heeyaa

It was Saturday. Well, yesterday. I wanted to get myself a new bag coz my old one has a torn strap. Don't ask me how it happened -_-". Also wanted another sandal for inside the house, and a glove. I reaaaally want a dark green glove. I saw one at ZARA, Indo, but I didn't buy it and I have no idea why. T_T

So Listy and I were supposed to go to Chadstone Shopping Centre today. I even went to the metlink journey planner website to make sure we don't lose our way today, but... We did.

We ended up at Malvern, which is before Caulfield, and Chadstone is supposedly somewhere between Malvern and Caulfield. So we just walked and walked aimlessly at Malvern.
And we passed by so many restaurants. And there was this Japanese take-away shop. With sushi party and... lovely stuff. That was when we decided to take this day as a shop-eat-walk day! Yaaay! *money flows out*
Our first food destination:

We ordered Gyoza, which was only $5. And it was gooooood. But we had to wait to long.
After gyoza, we walked and walked. Saw some bag shops but didn't find any good ones. Went to Sussan shop where we found pretty nice sandals but they were like $25 and we didn't know if it's worth it so we left.
Then we came around soooo many bakeries and patessiere shops. And we did promise each other that the next time we go out we're going to eat at a patessiere shop. So we did!
Food destination #2.
Eclair!!!
And after that, we came around this restaurant and Listy wanted to try kebabs so we went in.
We ordered Chicken Sis Kebab and Garlic Bread.
Garlic Bread:

It was goooooooooooood...!!! But there wasn't enough salt so we added them ourselves and we were roflmao-ing coz the salt was practically invisible and we just kept shaking the bottle and when one of us does it only the other could see how much salt we used and well you know it's an inside joke.

Then came the kebab. IT WAS GIGANTIC.

I took the first bite...

AND IT WAS SO SO AWESOME. And the best part, the best part was when my teeth sunk into the big fat juicy mushroom in the kebab... ZOMREFEWJFGUWA. I was ecstatically happy. So happy that I forgot I wasn't eating by myself and Listy got the chance to witness my very messy eating... lol I shan't ever eat in that restaurant with someone other than Listy/my family. You have no idea how I ate.
And when we were done, I just casually mentioned how white wine would compliment our meal so well. And we ended up ordering it!!! xDDD lalalala
We shared a glass, but Listy only drank little. I had to finish... a lot... And I'm pretty sure the alcohol content is rather high because it's stronger than anything I've ever drunk.
Happy~
The food was great, it was a relaxing day of food, wine, shopping. AAA. So good.
We didn't know where else to go. We decided to just hop on a random bus since the driver opened the door and waited for us expectantly.

When we saw the words 'Chapel St', we got off.
And after a short walk, we arrived at Chapel Street Market!
It contained rows and rows of vintage collections. It was cool.

Audio collections!

Lingerie!

And after we were done, we walked along Chapel St, checked out stores after stores. Unfortunately they were all closing down. Only a few opened. But then we came across Jam Factory!
We spontaneously decided to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic. Finished at around 9:00pm I think?
First time seeing Melbourne at night.

Listy was sleepy, so we decided to go catch a tram to the city. As we waited these girls came and sat next to us and they kept repeating the phrase "it was like, SO funny".

At the city, I wanted to eat food again =p
We passed the photobox on Swanston St which I always wanted to try and we went in. Spent $12. TWELVE!! So expensive I know.

The photobox was great. It was actually fun coz we didn't know what we were supposed to do and it became rather like a gymastic session since we had to keep changing poses dramatically.
On our way home we passed Harajuku crepes which I've always wanted to try. Like every morning on the walk to school I would pass it and it smells divine. Now, finally!

We ordered Ham Cheese and (something) crepes.

Good. It was good. But not THAT great. But good.
The train home was filled with people from the Grand Prix.

And throughout the whole day I ate Maltesers (I brought with me 3 packets of them in my bag). When we reached (our town) it was soooooo freezing cold and we were both wearing hot pants (!!!) so we just squealed and yelled the whole way from the station to the house.

Photobox Memory

Thursday, December 11, 2008

I went to Pacific Place again just now for my 2-hours break. There is this arcade called... Don't remember what it's called, but it's near Spagetthi House. I LOVE THE PHOTOBOX THERE!!! The games are really fun too. Maybe I'll blog about it when I go there again next time. For now, I'd like to focus on the topic of photobox pictures.

See, I was going through my whole collection of photobox pictures... which is a LOT by the way. I found soooo many photos I've totally forgotten about. It's awesome. Like the pictures I took with:

  1. My Korean tour friends. I had long black hair then. I remember it was Marvin's 18th birthday. Davina, Thirza and I were frantically searching for a last-minute birthday present for him.
  2. Bella, Ratna, Daryl, Hendhy, Kenny. Ah yes I remember this, Hendhy took off my red hat and I was annoyed coz I was having shitty hair due to DDR sweat and Daryl took it back for me.
  3. Irene, Mike, Michelle, Daryl. Omg I totally forgot ahha. Yeah we were eating in this Japanese restaurant I can't remember where after Mr. Shafiq's tuition, and then Michelle joined us. Then we went to have fun in Timezone. Aaah Mr. Shaf's tuition... I remember the hectic IGCSE + Final Exams times...
  4. Me and Ratna at PIM. Omg I looked so scene there lol. I would try that look again but my hair is not long and black anymore.
  5. Me and Ratna. This one very funny picture where we were looking down and we wrote out the word 'porn' in mucus green colour lol. And the other pose we had was when we looked really grossly ugly and I put monstrous shimmer into our eyeballs making us both look like freaks so much that Ratna didn't want the photos.
  6. Me, Ratna and Helena. Helena, I haven't seen her in years o_o
  7. Me, Ratna, Angelina. Omg. I was wearing that shirt... which is red but with long white sleeves. I wonder where it is now... And Ratna is wearing a pink sleeveless and a headband... Angelina in I don't know what, couldn't see.
  8. Chu, Cel, Sapi, and I. I was in no mood to take photos so I just looked really, really horrible. Haha ok I don't want to be reminded of that horrible photo pls.

Okay so many more photos, but those are ones that appeal to me the most because I have forgotten about them after all this time. Hmm I wonder how Mike and Mr. Shaf are doing. Don't really have any contact with them.

The first time I ever took a photobox picture was when I was at Ratna's and we went to the Indomart/Ranch Market close to her home. We went to Gramedia to buy some materials for whatever project we were doing, then we passed by a photobox machine. She told me to take pictures. I was very reluctant. She said it's pretty cheap so why not. So I agreed.

It being our first time, we were super duper stiff. We just stood there unmoving. I frowned. I was still in my glasses and fringeless lol. Imagine how ugly that looked. Ratna at least smiled a little.

Anyway, that's it for history. I'm pretty sad right now coz I can't find the pictures I took with my family in TAIWAN's photobox!!! Argh!!! Damnit. I can't find the damn thing T_T Where is it... Please show yourself...
